We visited Vietnam the first time on Feb-2016. And, Hue is the first destination we visited. After 2 days explored Hue City with World Heritage Complex, we decided to transfer to Hoi An to visit the ancient town where was a great trade port in 15 – 16th century.

After careful consideration, we decided travel to Hoi An by private car. The price is higher then another transportation but the experience we had during the trip was wonderful.

Mr. Anh was our driver on that day. He waited for us at the hotel lobby about 15 minutes before the departure time. We got on the car and starting our trip at about 09:00am. We were really surprised when the car has free wifi. So, we took a photo and sending to my son. Overall, the car is good, clean and comfortable.

The driver speak English very well. Although, sometimes we didn’t hear and understand exactly what he was talking about. But no problem we can guess and that’s very good. During the trip, Mr. Anh introduced us many interesting things such as: the number of generation in a family, daily life of local people, gem tree oil and so on.

Our first stop is Lang Co Beach. Lang Co is one of the most beautiful beaches of Viet Nam. We had about 20 minutes to take photo and free walking along the seashore. Unfortunately, we didn’t bring swim clothes. What a pity when we didn’t spend a several minutes to swim here.

Leave Lang Co, we continued to conquer Hai Van Pass – Sea Cloudy Pass. Mr. Anh suggested us a wonderful position to take a panorama photo of Lang Co Bay. Awesome! From the foot to top of the pass, we drove via the winding road. The landscape is wonderful when you stand in high position. The color of beach, the color of forest are beautiful. We stared out the window of the car. Wonderful! Sometimes, we saw cows and goats walking along the way. They are so cute.

We made a stop at top of Hai Van Pass. We took a panorama photo of Da Nang City then taking many photos of Hai Van Gate and US bunkers. I tried to climb on the roof of a bunker. What a point to take a nice photo! Mr. Anh showed us the way go through the cafeteria and we had the second position to take many beautiful photos. We drunk a cold coconut before continue the trip.

After 30 minutes, we arrived Da Nang City center. The next tourist attraction is Cham Museum nearby the Dragon Bridge – a new symbol of Da Nang. We buy the entrance ticket (40,000vnd/pax) to visit this museum. There are many interesting things inside the museum. Unfortunately, we don’t have a tour guide to give us more information. We will book a tour guide and visit it in again the near future. We can come to realize one thing, from many centuries ago, only by hands but the artists have created many beautiful works from stone.

Continue the trip, we passed the Dragon Bridge to Da Nang Coastline. After 15 minutes, we arrived Marble Mountains. The second time we feel regret when did not book a tour guide. The entrance ticket of Marble Mountains is 15,000vnd/pax. There are 2 ways to visit it. The first one, we can buy elevator ticket (15,000vnd). The second one, we can climb 151 stone steps to visit the first attraction – Linh Ung Pagoda. The weather is too hot so we decided to buy the elevator tickets. (Reality, we are lazy) ^^

Xa Loi Tower

We visited in turn of Xa Loi Tower, Linh Ung Pagoda, Ocean View Tower. The most interesting in Marble Mountains, we think it’s Huyen Khong Cave. The air inside the cave is really cool and fresh. We called it “The Nature Air-conditional”. On the way back to the car, we visited Tam Thai Pagoda. We just known that the gate before the pagoda was built in 1825 under the reign of Emperor Minh Mang.

Leave Marble Mountains, we saw many factories of Stone Carving Village. According our itinerary, it’s excluded so Mr. Anh not bring us to anyone. But, we understood the he didn’t want to be misunderstood that he will receive the commission if he took us to the shop. That’s not our problem. We made it clear then visit one factory. We had a chance to see the artists carve many beautiful statues from limestone. We took a look to the shop and buy 3 marble stone bowls. They’re very beautiful.

Say good bye to the owner of the factory. We continue to our resort in Hoi An. We were happy when we had a wonderful trip with private car transfer service. Upon arrival the resort in Hoi An, we settle the payment to Mr. Anh. He gave us his best wishes. We were all happy and give him the tips for his work today. Wonderful trip, wonderful sightseeing, awesome driver and awesome service.

When we visit Vietnam the second time, we will use private car transfer service again.
