We are a family of 5 visited Hoi An in May-2016. It took us about 3 months to prepare this trip. We had 3 weeks and would like to spend all 3 weeks in the central of Vietnam. At first, we decided to take a local taxi but they didn’t have any large vehicle for a group of 5 people with luggage. After a long flight, we were really tired. We tried to find out any transfer service in the internet. Luckily, we got one. We called to Mr. Tom with the phone number we saw on their website.
We requested him a minivan 16 seats to pick us up at Da Nang Airport to Hotel in Hoi An. The van was available but they needed 45 minutes to transfer from the parking area to the airport. Mr. Tom told us to take a cup of coffee and waiting for the driver. After 50 minutes, the driver came. A little late but we understood that it wasn’t easy to drive fast with the crazy traffic in Vietnam. Mr. Thong was our driver on that day. He was very helpful, friendly and polite. We got on the car and really surprise when the car had free wifi. Also, Mr. Thong gave us 5 bottles of mineral water. It was really good. We paid 24usd for this transfer, the price is reasonable (~ 4,5usd/person).
We were really happy when we made a last minutes booking but the van was available and the price was good. We visited their website again to find out any interesting tour programs or somethings like that. It was really easy to find what we need. “Hoi An Walking Tour” to visit Hoi An Ancient Town, “My Son Private Day Tour” to explore the World Heritage Site, “Cham Island Scuba Diving Tour” to watch the beautiful coral reefs. Especially, an eco-tour to coconut forest to ride water buffalo, cycling around the countryside village and fishing, catching crab was the most interesting tour we took in Hoi An.
Leave Hoi An for Da Nang, we stayed in a hotel near My Khe Beach. We visited Hue Private Taxi’s website one more time to find our any interesting tour programs like we joined in Hoi An. Da Nang City Tour and Ba Na Hills were choose by our children. They would like to climb to the Marble Mountains with beautiful cave named Huyen Khong and ride the cable car in Ba Na Hills.
After many days in Da Nang, we transfer to Hue – An ancient capital of Vietnam. We continued taking a van from Hue Private Taxi with the price of 82usd/minivan. On the way, we visited Hai Van Pass. It was really excited when you stand in the high position and taking a panorama view. After Hai Van Pass, we had time to swim and have lunch with fresh seafood in Lang Co. Wonderful!
Upon arrival Hue, we stayed in La Residence Hotel. It located nearby Perfume River. What an peaceful city! We spent 2 days to explore the World Heritage Site here with Imperial Citadel, Royal Tombs, pagoda, … by Hue City Tour. In the evening, we had a chance to enjoy the Hue Folk Song Performance on Perfume River and dropping paper lamps off to praying for lucky.
Continue to the Northern, we transferred to Phong Nha. One more time, we choose Hue Private Taxi. We departed in the morning, on the way we visited La Vang Church, Hien Luong Bridge – Ben Hai River at 17th parallel. The most interesting thing we saw on that day is Vinh Moc Tunnels. Vietnamese people are awesome. “To be or not to be”, the people here were really powerful during the Vietnam War.
We arrived Phong Nha in late afternoon, settle the payment then Mr. Minh – driver had to back to Hue. We just confused a little when thinking that they do not offer the service for this area. But not, we called to Mr. Tom to make sure that we can take a van from Phong Nha to Dong Hoi Airport and we were really happy when he says “Yes, we have”. We didn’t think anymore. We spent all time to visit Phong Nha Cave, Paradise Cave and Chay River – Dark Cave. The landscapes are wonderful. We can visit here one time in our life is the luckiest thing.
After 3 weeks with wonderful experience, we had to back to England. We reconfirmed with Mr. Tom one day before the departure day and he sent the minivan to pick us up as request. The driver was punctual. We took the flight from Dong Hoi Airport to Ha Noi then connect to the next flight to England. What a wonderful holiday. The sightseeing are beautiful, the Vietnamese people are friendly, the local foods are delicious. Especially, the best services ever from Hue Private Taxi. From the airport transfer to the tour program, all of them made us really happy, enjoyable and feeling the service met our expectation.
We would like to say “thank you” to Hue Private Taxi team when they helped us have a wonderful trip in Vietnam. Also, we will recommend them to our friends who would like to visit Vietnam in the future.
