Hoi An Bike Tour Itinerary
7:30 AM: Our tour guide will pick you up at your place/tour starting point in Hoi An. You will enjoy a refreshing bike ride across the poetic sights of cornfields and rice fields. These would be green in February and golden in April.
Dong Binh Mat Village: First, you reach Dong Binh Village, whose traditional handicraft is mat-making. You will meet local people and watch them produce mats. If interested, you can join hands to make one by yourself.
Rice paper making: The next destination is a local house where you learn how to make rice paper dishes from the locals. After finishing, you can taste your products.
Rice wine making: Similarly, you will drop by another local house to learn about the traditional alcoholic beverage in Vietnam—rice wine, or rượu gạo. The friendly locals will show you production steps, let you join hands, and finally serve you some to taste.
Kim Bong Carpentry Village: Later, you get to a woodworking guild, where you can take a break, drink coffee, and see how the artisans create wooden boats and other products. Moreover, you should drop by Huynh Ri Workshop to see clever carvings displayed there.
Sampan boat: The next activity on the Hoi An countryside bike tour is to go on a boat ride on the Thu Bon River. Sightseeing during this small cruise is impressive, especially with charming water and large fishing nets.
Lantern making: If time allows, you can join lantern-making activities, such as visiting lantern shops, watching the locals make it, or creating one. Plus, you can stop by a banh mi shop to enjoy Vietnamese bread before finishing the tour.
